Pop star Lily Allen challenged fans to a treasure hunt on Wednesday (01Apr09) to grab tickets for the opening night of her U.S. tour.

The Smile singer took to social networking site Twitter.com to reveal she had hidden two sets of seats for her sold-out performance at the House of Blues in San Diego, California on Wednesday.

She wrote, "I'm gonna hide two sets of tickets, near the venue of the show. Await instructions."

The star then told fans to go to the venue's attic and exchange some footwear for the first pair of tickets.

After a fan obliged, Allen blogged, "Ok, so the shoes have been handed in and traded for tickets, next clue coming up."

And the next lucky recipient was made to work even harder - Allen told fans to find fellow Twitter user rocio@thewyndham at the venue, who would hand over the final pair once serenaded with a song.
