Mariah Carey left fans waiting for two hours at a Las Vegas concert after demanding a doctor examine her throat before she went on stage, according to reports. Revellers had turned out to see the Hero hitmaker on the final date of her Angels Advocate tour at The Colosseum on Saturday night (27Feb10).
But they became restless when Carey delayed her stage appearance until she received the all-clear from a physician after suffering problems with her vocal chords, according to New York Post gossip column PageSix. The star turned up two hours later, and waited in her car until Ciara, who was also performing at the venue, had finished her show - so as not to upstage the R&B star. A source tells the publication, "Ciara was performing as Mariah arrived, so she waited in the car, saying she didn't want to upstage her."
