T.I. is facing a copyright infringement lawsuit over his Grammy-award winning track What You Know.

Rapper Motoe Blizzid, real name Nathan Filby, alleges T.I. used parts of his 2004 song Reverence, which was distributed to industry insiders, for his own track.

According to legal documents, obtained by RadarOnline.com, Filby claims the 2006 single has the "same rate of harmonic range" and states the two recordings have "nearly identical instrumental melodic lines in terms of pitch, shape, and rhythm."

Filby, who has performed with Snoop Dogg and Ludacris, is requesting a jury trial against T.I., real name Clifford Harris, Jr.

He's seeking damages and profits derived from the song.

T.I. is currently in a halfway house near his home in Atlanta, Georgia after serving time behind bars for weapons possession.
