I'm sorry Larry but you are single handedly destroying the news world. The whole world was waiting to hear from Colombian Hostage Ingrid Betancourt and you conducted the worst interview I have ever heard.
It was agony listening to Larry stumble through his words trying to ask a question. He missed the entire core of what this woman had to say.
She probably wanted to run back into the Jungle if freedom meant being so bored by Larry's stupid questions.
I implore the FARC to fly to CNN and grab Larry. He needs to go. Any rookie reporter could have aced this interview because Ingrid Betancourt is the most interesting story in the world right now.
I couldn't wait for the interview to end and I realized that I had become so irritable from watching this nightmare I was trying to scratch my own I out.
Piss off Larry, you owe us all an hour of our lives back. I know that every exec at CNN wanted Anderson Cooper to have that interview.
I have to watch the rescue video again so I can remember what hell this woman and the others went through. Like her, I don't want to forget about the others left behind, but all I can think about right now is your disgusting wrinkled face.
Retire!!!!!!!!!

I was simply shocked by Larry King's interview with Ms. Betancourt! You would think an old journalist like LK wouldn't ask someone who just returned from 6 years of jungle hell to remember specific torture situations. What's so hard to understand when she repeatedly says she doesn't want to discuss this issue? Show some respect, Larry! Unfortunately, LK's interview wasn't the only example of bad journalism.
Did you watch Ann Curry's interview with Ms. Betancourt? That was almost as bad as the one with Larry King. Ann Curry made comments like "God was late" after Ms. Betancourt described how her faith helped her cope and also tried several times to get her to give details about torture. Don't these journalists have a bit of empathy?
By the way, I would recommend watching BBC's Stephan Sackur's interview on HardTalk with Ms. Betancourt as an example of good journalism (available on youtube). Mr. Sackur also wrote an article titled "Betancourt endures media frenzy" (BBC website) in which he describes how he tried to pick questions that balance the media's interest and Ms. Betancourt's right to privacy.
